那天表演了之後，就有兩位好朋友突然密我說：「你是不是變胖了」😂
從小被笑「胖」的我曾經很容易被這種問題打擊，受傷。現在因為對自己的價值觀，已經了解我的「身材」不是我唯一的價值所以比較可以接受批評。雖然朋友們是一種關心（我很感激這樣的關心）但有讓我反省很久我們現在社會在意的東西。
無法，外表確實是個大家會care的東西（包括我-我已開始減肥）但同時我會很想想辦法讓自己再增加進步到人家是去關注我的表演與重視我的藝術，而不是只是關注我的外表。當人家完全沒有對你表演有感而只對你外表有所反應的時候，就表示你還有很大的進步空間
那，我一定要再加油！我一定做得到！讓你們有聽聽得到我的歌聲，忽略我的肥！
（PS 真的是衣服太大件啦！ ....好啦好啦，吃沙拉去）
So, after my last performance, two close friends messaged me and asked if I had gained weight (Asians are ruthless when it comes to body shaming). I used to be very plump growing up and would be very sensitive to these types of questions, but as I’ve grown older, I have realized my self value isn’t only limited to my weight. I love my friends, and I appreciate their way of caring about me, but it made me reflect on how nowadays in society, we seem to care more about outer appearances rather than the actual artistic expression. The way I see it is: if people are only able to look at your outer appearance and not notice your performance; you still have a lot of room for improvement.
So that’s what im gonna do! Gonna keep practicing to make it that one day, you’ll watch my performance for my singing rather than paying attention to my gut!
Ps: it was an oversized shirt!! But of course, I COULD be healthier 😂 love yourself; the rest will follow.
