Alternate Nostril Breathing
Relieve anxiety
Relieve insomnia
Integrates both sides of the brain and body
Calms when feeling overwhelmed

Back off if you don’t feel good, dizzy, stuffy nose blocking air passage.

Seat however you feel comfortable
(can lead against wall for back support)
Gently closed your eyes.

Bring your right fingers to peace sign, Index and Middle finger, curl in the peace sign.

Use Ring finger and Thumb rest between your nose.
Gently press your Ring finger over the left nostril and Inhale ”1” counts through right nostril.
Close off the right nostril with thumb.
Hold the air in for “1” count.
Release the Ring finger and exhale the air out through your left nostril ”1” count.
Reverse the pattern start inhale through left nostril, hold and exhale through right side.

Simple version :
Inhale, and hold a moment in,
Exhale, drain the air out and hold a moment out.
Just alternate sides for few breaths.

If your mind wanders/drifted, bring your attention back to your breath.
Doesn’t matter if it’s not even, just continue on.
If it’s double sided, complete the right and left side.

You can release your arms resting on your knees when you are ready to come back to your normal or soft breathing.

Eyes remain closed to feel for a moment.
And when you’re ready, gently open your eyes.

Note :
Practice with 1 count inhale and exhale first. The counts “1” count can change 2 to 3 or 4 counts as you feel comfortable.
