In a first-of-its-kind study in Nature News and Comment, National Geographic Society Explorer in Residence and #PristineSeas founder Enric Sala and a team of colleagues share a blueprint for ramping up ocean protections by at least 30% by 2030.
The study shows how this level of protection would contribute to more abundant seafood and provide a cheap, natural solution to help solve climate change, alongside economic benefits.

【自治區節慶 ～ 巴利阿里群島節（Día de las Islas Baleares）】
今天三月 1 日是巴利阿里群島節，導遊趁機介紹一下這個自治區。
巴利阿里群島自治區（Islas Baleares）是西班牙的 17 個自治區之一，位於伊比利亞半島的東部，在地中海上，人口一百一十六萬人，人口最多的都市是首府馬約卡島的帕爾馬（Palma de Mallorca）。
巴利阿里群島有一個馳名全球的沾醬：美乃滋，還有馳名西班牙的三種美食，紅椒肉醬腸（Sobrasada）、蝸牛甜麵包（Ensaimada）跟馬翁的琴酒（Gin de Mahón），均受到法定的地理標示的保護。
巴利阿里群島因其海水清澈見底的藍旗海灘、夢幻的小海灣、絕美的夕陽和自然風光而成為是西地中海部最受歡迎的度假勝地之一，所以，群島上總人口才一百多萬人，可是，每年的度假客超過兩千萬，每年有超過五百萬個德國人道此，因此被德國人稱為是「德國的第17個邦」。
巴利阿里群島的陽光燦爛，氣候溫和，早在 19 世紀，蕭邦就到巴利阿里群島最大的馬約卡島養病，後來，理所當然地成為名人明星度假的地方，早在五十多年前，摩納哥親王蘭尼埃三世跟奧斯卡影后葛莉絲·凱莉結婚之後，就是搭乘希臘船王歐納西斯贈送的豪華遊艇在巴利阿里群島度蜜月，在它隱秘、鮮有人跡、只能由海陸抵達的海灣享受隱私，英國偵探小說作家阿嘉莎·克莉絲蒂在此完成《情牽波倫沙（Problem at Pollensa Bay）》，希臘船王歐納西斯、摩洛哥的已故國王哈桑二世、巴勒斯坦解放運動領袖阿拉法特、演員安東尼·昆、演員碧姬·芭杜、俄羅斯西洋棋棋手卡斯帕羅夫、前F1賽車手麥可·舒馬克、英國的哈利王子…..都愛到巴利阿里群島度假，而演員麥克·道格拉斯、希臘船王歐納西斯的外孫女雅典娜·歐納西斯、演員李奧納多·狄卡皮歐、超級名模克勞蒂亞·雪佛…等人更在那裡擁有私人度假豪宅，甚至連西班牙的王室也一定在每年八月到巴利阿里群島的馬約卡島（Mallorca）度假。
巴利阿里群島最大的三個島嶼是馬約卡島、梅諾卡島和伊比薩島。
巴利阿里群島的旅遊是以太陽跟海灘為賣點，還因此衍生出不少戶外活動例如高爾夫球、帆船、單車、健行 ... 等。每年八月西班牙國王去馬約卡島度假時，還有國王盃的帆船比賽（西班牙國王喜愛帆船運動）。
巴利阿里群島的世界遺產包括：
1️⃣ 特拉蒙塔納山區的文化景觀（Cultural Landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana）：在馬約卡島，屬於世界文化遺產
2️⃣ 伊比薩島的生物多樣性（Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture）：在伊比薩島，屬於世界文化遺產－世界自然遺產
3️⃣ 西比拉聖歌詠唱（El canto de la Sibila）：在馬約卡島，屬於世界非物質文化遺產

Beautiful Bali
Bali is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80%. In 2017 TripAdvisor named Bali as the world's top destination in its Traveller's Choice award.
Bali is part of the Coral Triangle Indian Ocean, the area with the highest biodiversity of marine species especially fish and turtles. In this area alone, over 500 reef-building coral species can be found. For comparison, this is about seven times as many as in the entire Caribbean.
Bali is also home to a unified confederation of kingdoms composed of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house ruling a specific geographic area. The confederation is the successor of the Bali Kingdom. The royal houses are not recognised by the government of Indonesia; however, they originated before Dutch colonisation.
