During this hot weather, it’s a wise choice to stay hydrated. How much water should one consume in a day? I would say the bare minimum would be 2 liters a day for the average person and if you’re an avid gym goer or someone who’s always active, then bump it up to 3 liters. During this time, when there’s water shortage due to ‘pollution’ in our rivers, seek another option to get your water intake. Fruits such as watermelon is a great alternative to get in your vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and most importantly water. @anytimefitnesssunwaygeo

I've nv had the guts to go out in midriff even during my younger modeling days.
I guess this could be what you call Body Dysmorphic Disorder. A condition where you keep seeing your body in a worse state than what it is. As a child, as a teenager, as an young adult, I've always felt insecure abt myself, my body, my worth. I guess modeling made me felt even more insecure and expectations of myself got even higher, because my job required my aesthetic and physical state to always be in a tiptop condition. My skin, my body, my hair, my face was always under such tough scrutiny.
Although the only time i controlled my food intake was when i first started modeling for the first 2 weeks. Surviving only on 1 green apple a day, i eventually passed out 14 days later. Since then I've never gone on an extreme diet anymore. However, I used to work out 4-5 times a week in the past. I'll wake up, cycle 20mins to the pool, swim for 20laps and then hit the gym for 2hrs. At my lightest, i was 47kg at 174cm. I was literally skin and bones. Still, I'll feel insufficient and less than good enough.
I'm 36 this year and proud. I may have more wrinkles, less energy and more pigments. But I've never felt better about who i am. I acknowledge my flaws and accept them as part of me. I've learnt to be compassionate not only to those around me, but especially towards me. 'Other people' are no longer allowed me make me feel lesser of a person than i deserve to be. And I've learnt, they nv had that power. The power was always within me.
Be empowered to choose the right words to say to yourself everyday, starting today. ❤
