經過幾個月的等待， 「美國國務院高中生華語獎學金計畫(NSLI-Y)」交換學生終於到台灣了！

AIT在3月17日接待了參加 NSLI-Y 的美國高中生，他們將到淡江大學學習中文。除了精進中文能力之外，這群美國高中生也會有機會體驗台灣文化，並與台灣的接待家庭一起生活。我們知道，這將會是個影響他們一生的經驗。邀請大家跟我們一起歡迎這群好學的年輕朋友到台灣來學中文，如果你有什麼學中文的建議，也歡迎在底下留言給他們喔！

After months of waiting, we are so glad to welcome the U.S. Department of State’s National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) program exchange students in Taiwan!

On March 17, AIT hosted a group of students from across the United States who are participating in the NSLI-Y program at Tamkang University. Not only will these students be improving their Mandarin, but will get to experience Taiwan culture and spend time with Taiwan host families. We know this is going to be an experience that impacts the rest of their lives. 美台合作持續在各領域發燒! 台灣登上美國教育部官方部落格!

AIT和TECRO在去年12月，簽署了一份重要的國際教育合作備忘錄，推廣中文與英文的語言學習、支持雙邊師生的交流、鼓勵美台大學之間的合作等。正如美國教育部副部長Zais所說：「具備多語能力的學生在職場和人生的許多面向上都更有優勢。我相信美台的教育夥伴關係能幫助更多學生在台灣和美國學習這些重要技能。」

U.S.-Taiwan cooperation is thriving on various topics. Taiwan is featured on the official blog of the U.S. Department of Education!

As you may have heard, on December 2, 2020, AIT and TECRO signed an important Memorandum of Understanding on international education cooperation. The MOU supports Mandarin and English language learning, student and teacher exchanges, university partnerships, and more! As Deputy Secretary Zais explained, “Students who speak several languages have an advantage in many aspects of their careers and lives. I am confident our partnership can help more students gain these important skills – on Taiwan and in the United States.”

此部影片是由英國愛丁堡大學的台灣學生主動發起，目的在於跟當地的學生群體交流對婚姻平權及性平教育的看法。同時也將來自世界各地學生對本次公投的聲援，紀錄下來。

This video was a campaign initiated by Taiwanese students studying at the University of Edinburgh. The purpose of this campaign was to provide a platform for education and exchange of opinions on the topic of Taiwan equal rights referendum. Meanwhile, the video was recorded to convey the supports on Taiwan equal right referendum from students worldwide.
