The Canny Ong murder case in Malaysia.
Ahmad Najib Aris, a former aircraft cabin cleaner, was hanged at dawn on Friday the 23rd of September 2016 for the rape and murder of Canny Ong Lay Kian in 2003. The execution was carried out at Kajang Prison. His body was returned to his family and later laid buried at the Sungai Kantan Muslim cemetery in Kajang.
The Shah Alam High Court had sentenced 40 year old Najib to death on the 23rd of February 2005 for raping and murdering 28 year old Canny Ong, at Batu 7, Old Klang Road, Petaling Jaya between 1am and 5am on June 14, 2003. He was also sentenced to the maximum of 20 years in prison and 10 strokes of the cane for raping her.
The trial got huge publicity and gripped the nation with horrific details of abduction, rape, murder and the dumping of Canny's body into a manhole before it was set on fire. A DNA test had been conducted confirming Ahmad Najib's semen in Ong's vagina which proved that he had intercourse with the victim. In March 2009, the Federal Court upheld his death sentence.
Canny was an IT-analyst living in the United States with her husband Brandon. She was in Malaysia to visit her ailing father. On the13th of June 2003, a day before she was due to return to the US, she went out for dinner with family and friends and at the up-market Bangsar Shopping Complex in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. After the meal, she went to the basement car park to fetch her parking ticket from her car. She asked her mother, Pearly Visvanathan Ong, and sister to wait for her by the autopay machine. Canny was kidnapped in the underground car park at 10.45pm. This was recorded on CCTV cameras, which showed her car being driven out at speed and crashed through the barrier. Canny’s mother reported her missing about 20 minutes later at the Brickfields police station.
Two policemen patrolling on motorcycles stopped Canny’s car, a Proton Tiara, with Najib and Canny in it near Kelana Jaya. She was still alive at that time. An officer took their identity cards and while he was checking them Najib tried to drive off. One front tire was shot out. However Najib managed to get away. In the early hours of the following morning he raped Canny. He then stabbed her twice and pushed her body into a roadside drain.
He escaped in a taxi and returned the next day and doused the body in petrol and set fire to it. The remains were discovered by a construction site manager. Canny’s car was found abandoned.
A van driver was able to give the court crucial evidence that helped to convict Najib, having seen him at the construction site in the car with a topless woman lying on the back seat. Investigators found Canny’s DNA found on jeans belonging to Najib and his semen was found on her body.

One interesting question remains. Why did Canny not escape from the car when she had at least two chances to do so? Sadly we will never know the answer. She may have just been petrified and unable to escape.

THE brutal murder of 28-year-old Canny Ong in 2003 remains embedded in the minds of many Malaysians. The tragedy shook the nation not just because of the gruesome and senseless nature of the crime committed – Ong was abducted, raped, stabbed and torched – but also because it happened in a popular and upscale neighbourhood-mall that was fitted with security cameras.
Unfortunately, Ong never returned with the ticket. After waiting for 20 minutes, Ong’s mother Pearly Visvanathan Ong and her sister decided to go to the car park to look for her. When they went down they found the car, a purple Proton Tiara, missing. Sensing something bad had happened to her daughter, Pearly ran to the mall’s security office to view the CCTV tapes. The tapes confirmed their worst fears: they saw Canny being abducted by an unidentified male who drove off with her in her car, crashing past the exit barrier of the carpark.
Days later, Ong’s charred remains were found in a manhole along Old Klang Road in Kuala Lumpur. Forensic and criminal investigators found evidence that led to the arrest of a 27-year-old aircraft cabin cleaner, Ahmad Najib Aris.

Do you believe in past life, and its strong invisible influence over your present life?

The modern day Justice Pao (現代包青天), known to bring justice to murdered victims.

楊青天大人, he was nicknamed by his countrymen.

I had never heard of 楊日松博士, Dr Yang Jih-sung.

Till I read the story written by my Grandmaster, Living Buddha Lian-Sheng, which I posted two days ago.

That was donkey years back.

In my decade long of mastering Chinese Metaphysics, I have amassed hundreds, if not thousands, of Bazi in my crumpled dog-eared notebooks.

One continuous homework that I have been doing since 2006, is to study the Bazi, faces, bodies and lives of not just famous people, people featured in the newspapers (hit-and-run victims, suicide victims, criminals, scholars, helpful people etc.) but as well as people around me.

Shifu said, the more we study, the better and faster we get at dissecting a person's Bazi and people reading.

The goal is to train our eyes and brain so well that we can see a person naked (figuratively, of course) within one split second.

And when a person walks past, without turning our heads to look, we must be able to tell Shifu the current financial state and luck of the person. #aurareading

Such training was very strenuous in the beginning. When I didn't pass the impromptu tests given by Shifu, I was meted harsh punishment and disallowed further learning, till I passed with flying colours.

I got curious about Dr Yang about a month ago. He had a very fascinating career history.

What does he have in his Bazi, that determines him to be a righteous and dedicated forensic expert with such top-notch crime-solving skills?

What had he done to be bestowed the divine title of 城隍爺 (City God), after his death?

I read that he allegedly handled more than 30,000 bodies over the course of his 62-year career. I took out my calculator. That worked out to 484 bodies every year. 40.3 bodies every month, which is about 1.34 bodies every day.

While all his classmates went off to become doctors, Dr Yang was the only one from his class to take up forensics. It was a decision he made after his brother was forcefully coerced into a confession by the Japanese that he was a spy and wrongfully jailed, and another friend was unfairly charged of being a thief.

Dr Yang learnt early in his life, that eye witnesses were insufficient to solve a case. There was a pressing need for strong scientific evidence.

What caught my eye about Dr Yang was his utmost respect to the dead bodies.

He would always take a bow to the victim before starting work on the dead body.

Through the decades, he had never wore any protective gear like masks and gloves during autopsies.

In his biography:

"A forensic expert’s job is more than just studying and dissecting the bodies. If necessary, we need to taste the contents of their stomachs and determine the time of death from the acidity. We can also tell from the bitterness whether there was poisoning involved.”
He cites a case where three charred bodies were brought in from the same incident.
“They smelled the same, so I could tell that they were burned at the same time. If I wore a mask, I would not be able to observe this subtle detail,” he says. “And, I believe that wearing a mask is disrespectful toward the deceased.”
Finally, he explains that he “cannot feel the elasticity of the skin” if he has gloves on.

I don't know if you have ever smelt a corpse. But it is known to be extremely foul.

Especially when the bodies have been thrown into the sea, or buried deep in the soil, before digging out much later.

Dr Yang never feared infection by the bacteria in the corpses.

Those were the days when CSI kind of science did not exist.

楊日松法醫：「你沒有良心，做不了。」

Dr Yang solved his first case when he was just an intern and still a student at Taipei Medical University in 1949. A pair of university lovers supposedly hung themselves by the Tamsui River, but the man survived. Later on, Dr Yang quickly proved that the noose was too small for two persons to be hung together. The man had murdered his girlfriend and staged a suicide attempt, complete with a forged suicide note, to cover up.

Dr Yang was only 21 years old then. (Jeez...what was I doing at 21?)

He went on to solve many difficult cases, which shocked Taiwan's society. Here are just 3 of them:

1. September 1977. It was Taiwan's 1st dismemberment murder case.

Two plastic bags containing about 6 pieces of body parts were found along the Dahan River.

DNA tests were non-existent then.

Dr Yang was called in, and his examination showed that the body parts belonged to the same person. He also provided the victim's age and possible identity at a reporters' conference, where he displayed the body parts on a table, and listed 10 areas of identification.

Including, the mammary glands were not enlarged, proof that the woman had never been pregnant.

And how the woman was possibly murdered and mutilated.

The police soon tracked the murderer to a ex-convict, who put up a false hiring notice, to trick young ladies.

2. 1990. The murder of a young Japanese undergraduate.

The body could not be found till a year later.

The young lady came to Taiwan for solo free and easy travel. She got onto a taxi, with a friendly driver who showed her around Taiwan. Iguchi Mariko agreed to staying at the driver's home for the night, when she could not find accommodation.

Her body was mutilated into 100+ parts and buried under a big tree. Her head was thrown into a rubbish bin.

When the police caught the taxi driver, Dr Yang provided scientific evidence that the taxi driver washed his home walls with strong chemicals and the water usage during the month of murder was 5 times the usual amount.

While the bones were too damaged to be tested for DNA, Dr Yang could piece them together that they belonged to the same person.

This case shocked both Taiwan and Japan.

3. 1993. The dead Marine Captain Yin Ching-feng (尹清楓)
The Captain was discovered dead along the coast of Yilan. The military claimed it was suicide by drowning. Dr Yang examined the corpse and discovered many wounds. There was no ocean debris in the lungs or other drowning symptoms.
Dr Yang announced that the Captain was murdered before being disposed into the ocean.
His honest words unscrambled a huge military scandal in Taiwan and caused many high-ranking officials to lose their jobs.

Dr Yang was also involved in the examination of 17-year-old Bai Hsiao Yen's mauled body. During the examination, Bai Bing Bing, the famous Taiwanese actress, mother of the victim, requested to be present.
Calling Dr Yang a Bodhisattva to the family of the victims, Bai Bing Bing was deeply moved by Dr Yang's comforting words to her:
我只能幫你瞭解真相。我沒有辦法再騰出我的手，再來救一個萬一昏倒的人。妳放心，妳信任我，我等一下一定會給妳最清楚的答案。
(I can only help you find out the truth. I am unable to lend another hand, to save a person who might faint. Don't worry. Trust me. Later I will definitely give you the clearest answer.)

Due to the nature of his work, Dr Yang contracted a skin disease, which caused great itchiness. Two months of seeing the doctor and injections did not help. Eventually, Dr Yang learnt of using rice water to wash his skin. Neighbours and Taiwanese who knew of Dr Yang's condition would bring rice water all the way to his home. It took 6 months before Dr Yang's skin ailment was under control.

There were many cases that Dr Yang solved, with supernatural help.

Once, when he was on a car together with his friends, he spotted a lady sitting beside him. He kept quiet as he assumed she was the friend of one friend. Later on, the car was stopped at a roadblock, where the officer told Dr Yang that he was needed at a crime scene. By then, the lady had mysteriously disappeared.

When Dr Yang reached the scene, he saw that the corpse looked exactly like the lady in the car. He knew immediately it wasn't a suicide case, as seen from the surface.

Another time, Dr Yang was at home when there was a knock on his door. He opened the door and saw a lady in a tracksuit with her head down. The lady sought Dr Yang's help to examine her injury. Dr Yang replied that he didn't have his equipment right now and asked the lady to go to the police station tomorrow. The next morning, during an autopsy, Dr Yang saw a body which didn't have clear facial features, as the body was rescued from the river.

He asked for the police to show him the clothes the body was found in. It was the EXACT same tracksuit as the lady who knocked on his door last night.

One day after work, Dr Yang's car was flagged down by a lady standing by the road. It was pouring heavily. Dr Yang got the chauffeur to stop his car and the lady asked to hitch a ride. Dr Yang agreed. The lady remained silent and kept her head down throughout. Dr Yang found her vaguely familiar.

After she disembarked, for some reason, Dr Yang's chauffeur got lost and could not find his way home. For over an hour, his car kept turning around the same spot.

Feeling something was amiss, Dr Yang headed back to Yilan, and re-examined the corpse. He had initially deduced that the corpse had committed suicide by drinking pesticide. On his 2nd examination, he discovered that the pesticide was found in the lungs. Usually for such suicide case, pesticide would be present in the esophagus. But if one was forced to drink it, the pesticide would leak into the lungs. Dr Yang amended his autopsy conclusion of suicide to murder.

Many supernatural incidents like these had alerted Dr Yang to correcting his initial findings, and solving mysterious cases.

Yet, there were times when Dr Yang was unable to reach a conclusive result despite many rounds of autopsy.

Then, Dr Yang would pray to the "Floating Head" in his autopsy laboratory. It belonged to a murdered victim, whose case was also resolved by Dr Yang. For some reason, the family/friend didn't want to claim the head. The head had been preserved in a glass container of formalin for 50 over years and its hair and moustache would grow. It was the Guardian Protector of Dr Yang and his team.

Each time after Dr Yang prayed to it, he would gain new insights into the case on hand.

During the Hungry Ghosts' Festival, Dr Yang would lead his entire team to pray to the "good brothers" and made many offerings. He had never missed a year of prayers.

While most educated people turn their noses up at the talk of ghosts and gods, this is one Doctor who will bow humbly before them and ingrain into his team the importance of respect.

Dr Yang told my Grandmaster that in his past life, he was the confidential secretary to the King of Hades. Hence in this lifetime, he took on the role of a forensic expert, helping murdered victims to redress the injustice they suffered.

Dr Yang's Bazi was an interesting revelation to his life and character, and why his occupation suited his Bazi to a T.

During his time, there were less than 10 forensic experts in the whole of Taiwan.

His integrity, courage, care to minute details, diligence, quest to find the truth and dedication are qualities I deeply admired. The same qualities my Shifu had been drilling into me for the past 11 years to be a very competent practitioner.

In this era where most people worship the famous and the rich, it is very rare to find a noble character like Dr Yang, who also respected the spiritual world.

Before he passed on due to colon caner, Dr Yang had expressed no regret over his career choice. The only thing he felt bad about was not being to provide more for his children, as public servants in Taiwan earned much less than doctors.

But Dr Yang, your heroic legacy is one that your children and descendants can speak proudly of for decades. The merits you left for them can guarantee them a better life than money ever can buy.

Dr Yang was born on 23 November, 1927. He passed away on the same day, in 2011.

I wanted to post this article yesterday, on his birthday and death anniversary. I took too long to write and am a day late. But I still wish to share Dr Yang's great life story with you.

Congratulations on your promotion to be the righteous City God. You totally earned it. 🙏

this is terrible. please be careful if you are thinking of flying your pets. i moved coconut from Singapore to Beijing earlier this year and she was so stressed! upon arriving, i found blood on her two front paws. she must have been pawing her life out till it bleeds! it's really very stressful for the pets and the least the airline and airport could do is to make sure they are safe and comfortable.

PET DEATH IN CHANGI AT THE HANDS OF SINGAPORE AIRLINES

JUSTICE for CHARLIE and all other pets at the mercy of NEGLIGENT AIRLINES

Please be wary of transporting your pet by SINGAPORE AIRLINES
Their negligence killed our pet Charlie.
We had planned to take our pet by Singapore Airlines to Ho Chi Minh. On Sep 2nd our scheduled travel date we arrived early as at the PPS Counter to check in our luggage and Charlie.
Since pets are taken on as excess baggage we had bought close to 220 kgs of excess baggage in addition to our allowance including Charlie and his crate which weighed around 22 kgs in total. Charlie has been with us since he was 30 days old and had completed 4 hours and 7 months. We were anxious about the move but with respect to Charlie we were very confident that he was in safe hands with Singapore Airlines. That is where we made a terrible mistake.

Our flight to Vietnam was at 1:30 pm. Though we had bought excess baggage for Charlie earlier at the airport we were told that the policy had changed and we had to make a fresh payment towards pet handling charges for Charlie. After the payment was made all our bags were weighed and checked in .
Charlie's crate was secured with plastic tags. The pet handling staff were not willing to even put the tags. Charlie was barking and they were scared. All pets do get anxious when the owners leave them even for some time. I asked them if they wanted to keep the leash lest they needed to
open the crate in case of any issues.They said it was not required . I presumed that if there was any emergency they would have a leash on hand if they had to open the crate.We were so wrong about the blind faith that we placed in Singapore Airlines.

Charlie was wheeled away with his crate in a trolley around 11 am. We proceeded to have breakfast and then around 12:30 pm we went to the boarding gate. We told them at the boarding gate that we had a pet.They told us he was a bit anxious and had some mucus and if we wanted to see him.Please note this. Mucus or saliva is a very normal thing for a dog and we felt we should not make him more anxious just before boarding.We boarded the aircraft and while on board the Captain made an announcement that we had a pet on
board the aircraft. We knew Charlie had boarded from the announcement.In just an hour and a half we would land and then
maybe in another half an hour or so we would be able to take him after completing the airport formalities.Our agent in Vietnam would be there to handle that for us.We landed in HCMC . We were received and taken to a separate counter to complete the immigration formalities faster. We thought this was because we had a pet . We completed the immigration only to taken aside and told by the Singapore Airlines staff that Charlie had passed away. We broke down in complete shock. We wanted to see him. We were in for a bigger shock. Charlie died not on the flight but he was not on the plane as he died in Singapore. We were terribly shocked. We demanded to understand how it happened , why we were not called and informed that Charlie had an issue or if he was distressed and why we were allowed to board and no announcement made to let us know before the aircraft took off. We were told that the gates had closed and they did not want to delay the flight and that is why they felt they should not inform us . The staff in Vietnam said they had no details except that they received a telex about the death of Charlie and what we wanted to be done with his body. They kept saying we are stating the information they received. We demanded to speak to the Singapore staff but the Vietnam staff could not put anyone on the phone for us and no one from Singapore attempted to reach us. They got somebody on the line after I kept saying I need to know. We had informed that you that the dog had mucus and if you wanted to see him. They never told us that our dog was severely distressed .As per airline policies pets who are severely distressed are never allowed to fly and the owners are informed that they are not fit to fly. The captain of the flight on some airlines in our experience with Air India took a look at Charlie and only after he gave a go ahead Charlie was boarded in. We were allowed to be with Charlie until boarding after which the captain saw him and then we proceeded.

Charlie's death took us by complete shock. We questioned how the captain made the announcement about the pet on the aircraft when Charlie had not boarded. They said there was no time to inform him. He was dead when they brought him
to the plane and since they could put a dead dog on the plane they did not want the flight to be delayed because of this incident . They chose to inform us on arrival.

Singapore Airlines is responsible for our pet's death. He was a perfectly healthy dog. They were clearly trying to cover up negligence on their part. They were playing it safe. We checked when the next flight back to Singapore was and said we want to take that. The staff asked us to get back before 6pm for the 7:30 pm flight. We dropped off my daughter with a relative at the serviced apartment and reached the airport before 6 pm. We were met by the same staff who informed us about Charlie. They asked us where our tickets were. We said we had no tickets as it was only an onward journey to HCMC from Singapore. We had assumed that the airline would have the tickets ready as we were informed of his death in Singapore only on arrival in HCMC. They are an insensitive airline. They told us that they could not do the booking over the counter and there was no override option.My husband tried to login in using the roaming service . The connectivity was very slow and after a half an hour struggle we did the bookings.

Singapore Airlines is a dishonest airline and a completely insensitive airline. Their perceived image is not what they are. The staff at Vietnam did not do anything to help us in our situation. Charlie died at the hands of the airline but they clearly were not feeling responsible for what happened or even regretted what had happened. Charlie was a dog after all. I had questioned them if they would have proceeded to take off if someone had gone into labor or someone was having a heart attack . The flight would not take off if a human life was at stake. Human life is precious . A pet's life is worthless . Only people who have dogs understand that they are integral part of the family. In our case I did not see any difference between my 12 year daughter and 4.7 year old Charlie, an American cocker spaniel. I have had him since he was 30 days old.

My husband and myself could not control our tears on the flight. We could not stop crying from the time we heard Charlie had passed away. We landed around 10 pm
In Singapore. Three airline staff held a placard with my husband's name and took us to the lost and found area where Charlie's crate was placed on a trolley with a plastic sheet over the crate.Before we landed in Singapore from
Ho Chi Minh we had reached out to my husband's Cousin to check on what happened. He was told that Charlie had been taken away by AVA, the Agri and Animal government authority of Singapore.We were anxious on the flight whether we would be able to see him immediately on arriving.
Charlie lay motionless , his body was cold, he was stiff , his face was down. There was evidence of a big struggle due to distress. He had chewed up the entire wee pad made of cotton. I was always so gentle with him and here he was in this state due to negligent handling .

What were they doing when he was distressed and was trying to get out of the crate was chewing on the wee pad?
Why did the pet handling staff not break open the crate and release him
and offer some water and try to relieve him and alert us ? This was an SOS situation. What stopped them?

We were told that the pet handling staff are not actually trained people who can handle pets. They treat pets like baggage. Their job is to move them to the pet hold area.

How could he have become motionless suddenly? What happened prior to that.? Who was there with him? Why did that person not alert the staff to reach us? Was there anyone with him in the first place? The presence of another human being even not known to him would have given him hope and could have saved his life.

The passenger services station
manager ,a man in his late twenties told us he was the in charge on the current shift and he wasn't aware of exactly happened in the earlier shift.We could not take it any more.

What led to Charlie's death? He was insensitive to our questions. He was hoping we would take Charlie's body and walk out of the airport without asking any questions.

We knew we were not going to get any answers from SIA. One of the senior staff who works at the Changi Airport spoke to us. We asked her who was responsible for managing the pet while in the pet holding area.

Were the airport authorities accountable in any way or the airline staff solely responsible. She could understand us as she had a pet herself and she seemed to understand our agony.Since Singapore Airlines seemed to show no remorse or were not serious nor honest in the way they were handling the whole situation we checked if we could file a report with the police at the airport. We went to the Singapore Airport police force and explained our situation. The officer took down the details and registered our complaint. He asked us if we suspected any foul play on the part of the airlines.We told the officer that Charlie has had a big struggle which is evident . Either the pet handlers chose to ignore it or they were not around for the entire period of time he was in the pet hold area. He was a perfectly healthy dog. He was examined by a vet and the vet certificate endorsed by AVA prior to travel .The officer took pictures of how he was lying face down in the crate with just very little left of the wee pad left in the crate. All along the SIA officer was tight lipped divulging no information but constantly engaged on his phone we are sure he was providing updates on what was happening. We requested for the protocol observed while keeping the pet in holding area. SIA is all the time talking about protocol but they had nothing to share here. They wanted to play safe to ensure the truth does not come out.They did not want their image to be tarnished and were trying to shield their staff .They did not care that our pet died and they should own up for the lapse at their end.
We did not want to go for an autopsy as that would establish that the dog suffered a panic attack maybe but what ensued in the two hours after he was taken away and what the staff did about it would not come out from the autopsy.Because it was only a pet they were least bothered.

Singapore Airlines should be banned from transporting pets since they clearly have no pet safety protocols in place and by their own admission do not have staff who can handle pets and pets are treated only as baggage and the crate never opened unless there is an emergency. Emergency for them means ''until the dog is completely unresponsive ''...

I cannot forgive myself for entrusting my baby in the hands of this ruthless airline. Please do not trust this airline with your pet .They simply don't care.
This is the real ugly face of the airline and not what is projected by them.The passenger services station manager did not share his contact number and refused to give any commitment in terms when they would write to us or send us the details of any investigation which they would carry out internally.

Pets dying while on board is heard off.Never in the holding area. The owners are intimated if the pet is distressed. If they treat them as excess baggage then they should let us know that they will not be monitoring our pet. Pet owners treat their pets like children and will not risk their pets with such an airline. A pet is not a wild animal that someone could not have opened the crate and freed him and offered some water and called us to calm him down . We would have decided not to fly or fly another day maybe after sedating him or would have even chosen another airline where he would have been more comfortable.

After registering the complaint we called the dog undertakers who came to collect Charlie around 4:30 pm. It is only when they removed Charlie from the crate we were horrified to see that he had chewed off his paw partially there was blood on his paw and on the mouth . He has used his paws to break open the crate and in desperation had chewed up the wee pad. He appears to have suffered a heart attack from the stress . The passenger services station manager gave us the CEO 's email when we asked for his bosses email Id. We are not uneducated and he thought we were fools to believe him.This shows how they deal with such issues. We went to spend the night at our cousin's place with a heavy heart. We have not stopped crying since this happened. We are in shock and we are unable to believe this happened at the hands of a pro pet airline such as Singapore Airlines in a very pet friendly nation in their home base of Singapore.
The ashes were delivered to us around 2pm by the undertakers and we boarded the 5:30 pm flight back to Ho Chi Minh city.

Charley deserves justice. Another pet should not meet the same fate. SIA has no right to be flying pets given the negligence they showed in Charlie's case unless they come out with revisions in their pet handling policies.
As expected we never got email from SIA even on Sunday . This shows their indifference to what happened.
We boarded the return flight to HCMC at 5:30 pm after collecting Charlie's ashes.

One of the senior air hostesses noticed us crying and ask us if she could help us. When we told her what had happened she was shocked and wanted to help us since we had not received any sort of communication in writing from Singapore Airlines. She in turn appraised the flight manager on board who assured us that he would report this to the concerned people.
We got an email on 4th morning that they were looking into the incident clearly only after the staff on the return flight reported what had happened to us.

I looked out for Charlie all the time and had made so many adjustments and arrangements at home to ensure the environment was safe for Charlie.Charlie was the baby of our house and all of us loved him and cared for him deeply.Charlie was my daughter's sibling and our son.It is hard to replace him. It is very difficult to cope with his loss. In a new city without him life seems empty. Time can heal is what they say. Time can heal certain wounds but the loss of a loved one hurts a lot and takes many years to heal. It does not matter if the loved one is a pet or a human.

Pet lovers and owners will understand this.
PLEASE INFORM AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU KNOW WHO HAVE PETS.SINGAPORE AIRLINES IS A NOT A SAFE AIRLINE FOR FLYING YOUR PET. THEY ARE NOT TREATED AS A LIVING BEING BUT AS JUST ANOTHER PIECE OF LUGGAGE.
WE TRUSTED CHARLIE WITH AN AIRLINE THAT IS DISHONEST AND NEGLIGENT AND PAID A VERY HEAVY PRICE.
Whichever Airline you choose please insist on being there in the pet holding area till the time they are transported to the aircraft or check on who is going to be with them in the pet holding area and how your pets are going to be handed if they become distressed. In the name of protocol they may not permit you to be around. Believe us they have no safety protocols that they observe and no one will be around watching with your pet. Please question and understand how your pets are going to be handled before choosing the airline. You must insist that they inform you if you pet is distressed.

Please do not use Singapore Airlines till the time they bring about changes in the policies with respect to pet handling. They intended to brush the whole incident under the carpet and did not accept responsibility.Please do not go by their perceived image and also by the fact that Singapore is a pet friendly nation.
ONE MORE INNOCENT LIFE MUST NOT BE LOST DUE TO NEGLIGENCE.PLEASE HELP GET JUSTICE FOR CHARLIE.

I am sharing pictures of how I found Charlie. As much as it hurts and I don't want to remember Charlie like this I want the world to know what can happen to your pets if you choose to fly with such an airline.

今夜は湯河原駅近くの町中華店へ！神奈川県足柄下郡湯河原にある『一番亭』にお邪魔してきました！湯河原駅の改札を出て3～4分にあるお店で、比較的早く閉まるお店が湯河原では珍しく24時まで営業しています！そしてなんと年中無休！そんな便利でメニューも豊富に揃う店内には常にお客様がたえない盛況ぶりでした！新しいお店に見えますがその歴史は意外に古く、元々は昭和26年に「大炬燵(おおごたつ)」という名前のトラック食堂からお店がスタートしたそうです。戦後の日本を食で支えたいと当時は珍しい24時間営業の店を数年後三島に作ったのだとか。そんな食に支えるという精神は今に受け継がれ、お店で提供の野菜などをはじめ、餃子なども具材や製法にこだわりが。。朝の2時半から仕込み始めから、皮も自社製、ひとつずつ手で包むという作業を毎日行うそうですよ！そんな心こもる中華料理をお腹いっぱい食べられたのは本当に幸せでした！さあそれではみんなで楽しく頂いた模様を早速ご覧下さい！
Tonight, go to a town Chinese restaurant near Yugawara Station! We've been in the “Ichiban Tei” in Yugawara, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture! A shop that is 3-4 minutes away from the ticket gate of Yugawara Station, and a shop that closes relatively early is open until 24:00 in Yugawara! And all year round! There was always a great success in the store with such a convenient and rich menu! It looks like a new shop, but its history is surprisingly old. Originally, in 1951, the shop started from a foodtrack called “Ohgotatsu”. He said that he wanted to support post-war Japan with food, and opened a 24-hour shop in Mishima several years later, which was unusual at that time. The spirit of supporting this kind of food has been handed down to the present day, and the ingredients and manufacturing method for the dumplings as well as the vegetables offered at the store are very particular. From the beginning of the morning at 2:30, the skin is made in-house, and the work of wrapping them one by one is done every day! I was really happy to have such a hearty Chinese food! From Hatyai to Phatthalung by train took 2 hour to arrived Phatthalung station and half and hour to ban thale noi lake.
This place is one of the most interesting nature parks of Thailand and well worth a visit. A trip on the lake with a small boat takes about 1 to 2 hours and you should start early in the morning, as the lotus will close the flowers in the afternoon. There are a lot of different waterbirds. Also water buffalos may be seen as they eat the waterplants and grass.

We hired a boat for an hour for 450 baht. The boatman was great taking us to see the different sites and slowing down each time I raised my camera to take a photograph, In the end we were almost 2 hours for the same price. Wonderful lotus flowers and it was interesting to see the diversity of different parts of the lake. Birds and buffalo are very much in evidence. We went at 6am to enjoy the sunrise scenery over the boat and surrounded by lotus flowers around. A great experience to explore this place.
