阿柚本是一隻黏人撒嬌的狗狗
不過近半年來性情轉變
會有無預警攻擊人的狀況
也並非一般護食及護地盤的問題
飼主帶阿柚去絕育
但絕育後狀況沒有改善
阿柚也較為神經質、敏感
平時在家中聽到一些聲響就會吠叫
而他現雖還會主動撒嬌
可是又會突然露牙
從前剪指甲及洗澡都可以接受
但現在因飼主被攻擊後會有恐懼感
所以較不確定阿柚現在對這些行為的接受度

目前阿柚的精神食慾方面皆良好
身體狀況也都沒有什麼問題

因品種的先天基因關係，導致英鬥常有許多的疾病問題
往往在這個時候，許多人因為無法承受持續的醫療照顧
以及長期的經濟負担，最終選擇放棄冷處理、甚至遺棄

想養英鬥的你，請再三的審視自已，你是愛牠還是害牠

協會的長期志工及理事長是來自英國，因此對英國鬥牛犬特別有感情，不過她知道台灣不適合飼養英國鬥牛犬而且因為鬥牛犬的繁殖非常困難導致很多鬥牛犬天生患有嚴重遺傳疾病以及身體畸形。因此，當她看到需要救援的英國鬥牛犬，一定會想辦法幫助牠。上週她看到一隻英國鬥牛犬在高雄政府收容所，並詢問是否有任何人可以把狗狗領出帶來台北。BARK(另一個外國人與本地人結合的高雄團體)的志工們馬上協助把狗送來台北給我們，他們不但安排了交通，也幫助狗狗檢驗及梳洗。

我們幫狗狗取名亨利八世。幸好亨利的檢驗報告都是陰性，但稍微有些貧血因為體重不足。他的四隻腿嚴重變形，因為他一生關在籠子內，沒有運動。他也有嚴重的櫻桃眼，牙齒腐爛。根據我們的判斷與經驗，亨利很有可能是繁殖場丟出的繁殖工具。當你從寵物店買小狗，這些小狗都是從這些像亨利一樣受瘧及生病的父母而來。

亨利國王過幾天會結紮，獸醫也會把他的櫻桃眼縫進去，清洗牙齒。亨利恢復後，我們再將他開放認養。直到今天，亨利一直過著地獄般的生活，他應得很多愛與關懷。國王亨利現在安全了，在寄養家庭展開新生活，我們會盡可能確保他從此以後的生活是從滿愛，過著王族的生活。

As you may know our long-time dedicated volunteer and Chairperson is from England and thus has a very soft spot for British bulldogs. She loves them dearly, but she is well aware that Taiwan is not a suitable country for them and that the breeding of Bulldogs is so difficult that many of them end up deformed or have very serious hereditary diseases. Because of this, when she sees a Bulldog in need she can't turn a blind eye. This week, she saw a posting of a British Bulldog in a government pound in Kaoshiung. She wrote on the wall to ask if anyone could get the dog out and get it to Taipei. Immediately, volunteers from BARK, another expat/local organization in Kaoshiung, jumped in and arranged for the dog to be sent to Taipei. They not only arranged the transport, but also went the extra mile and got him tested and gave him a spa treatment.

We have named him King Henry VIII, and luckily Henry's tests were all negative with only a slight anemia due to being extremely underweight. He has very deformed legs, which we believe is because he has spent all his life in a cage with no exercise. He also has a severe cherry eye that may need surgery and very badly rotting teeth. Based on all the above, we can conclude that Henry is most likely from another breeder. When people buy puppies from pet stores, they all come from suffering and sick parents like Henry.

King Henry will be neutered in the next few days and he will also have the cherry eye sewn back in and his teeth cleaned. Once Henry is fully on the road to recovery, he will be up for adoption. He has had a terrible life up to now and deserves some love and attention. King Henry is safe now and currently living in our volunteer’s home. We will do everything in our power to make sure the rest of his life he will be loved and taken care like the royalty he is.

King Henry is about 7 years old (he could actually be younger but due to the terrible conditions he's been kept in it is difficult to tell).
