【科普文分享】愛因斯坦證明了神存在嗎？／亞問

／／背景

網上流傳有關「愛因斯坦證明了神存在」的故事，散播速度已經達到外國所謂病毒的程度（has gone viral）。其實這故事在十幾年前已經存在，消失了一段時間後，隨互聯網的發展又再死灰復燃。故事指愛因斯坦還是學生的時候，反駁一位宣稱無神的老師，問得老師啞口無言。在不同版本中，「愛因斯坦」有時是小學生，有時是大學生，但是內容和論據都是一樣的，而許多標題都指「愛因斯坦」所說的，證明了神的存在。

以下是故事的大綱：
1. 老師/教授說世上無神，因為若神造萬物，也造了邪惡。
2. 一學生反駁說「冷」是「熱」的不存在，「暗」是「光」的不存在，同樣「邪惡」是「善良」的不存在。
3. 老師無言，作者稱此學生名為「阿爾伯特•愛因斯坦」。

供讀者參考，本人選擇了幾個中英文的，比較典型的版本[1][2][3][4]，其中一個是前幾年這故事重生時的一套youtube外語短片。[3]

這故事被網民瘋傳，受宗教人士稱頌，成為神存在的「有力見證」；另外一些人當這是有趣的故事。許多網友閱讀後，在社交網絡上分享，其他人看見了也「讚」和分享，這故事一傳十，十傳百，有如病毒一般地傳播開去。

這故事受注目當然因為故事的主角是大名鼎鼎，大眾媒體中智慧的化身--科學家愛因斯坦。可能有人認為科學家講求證據，多沒有宗教信仰，這下還是近代最出名的科學家信神，可真奇了；另外一些人可能認為，連愛因斯坦都信神了，而且他也搬出了理由，應該有根據。由網上留言可看到，許多人都認為真有其事，內容很有道理。

「不愧是愛因斯坦」
「會有邪惡只是因為心中沒有上帝」
「好棒的說法！」[2]

那麼，真相又是如何?

故事裡的「愛因斯坦」有證明神的存在嗎?

許多網頁都指故事中「愛因斯坦」所說的，邪惡為何存在的解釋，證明了神的存在。我們來仔細地分析一下：

「無神論教授」所說的，是在哲學上經常用來否定完美的上帝存在的「邪惡問題」（The problem of evil）（「完美」是指「全知、全能和全善」）。「如果完美的上帝存在，世上應該沒有邪惡。但邪惡的確存在，所以，完美的上帝不存在。」這一個問題古希臘哲學家伊壁鳩魯（Epicurus）早在在元前300年已經提出。

事實上，即使故事中的「愛因斯坦」反駁成立，他還是沒有證明了神的存在。這純粹是邏輯上的問題：反駁了否定的原因，並不代表證明了某事物存在。例如，A君說會飛的豬不存在，因為豬太重了，然後B君說飛機也很重，但飛機會飛。B君反駁了A君對會飛的豬的否定，但他本身並沒有提出任何會飛的豬存在的證明。

同樣，故事中的「愛因斯坦」只是純粹反駁了經典的「邪惡問題」，不論他的論證是否成立，他也沒有證明了神是存在的。

「愛因斯坦和教授對話」故事的真實性

如果找一下資料，不難發現，沒有任何證據顯示這個故事曾經發生。事實上，我們有更大的理由肯定這件事沒有發生過，故事只是子虛烏有。

首先，在愛因斯坦的傳記和自傳中，從來沒有提及和老師類似的對話；反而在愛因斯坦的自傳中說，他在12歲之後就開始質疑他家族的猶太信仰（愛因斯坦從沒信基督教）。所以他沒有可能在大學階段支持人格神（即具人格特徵，如愛、憤怒和嫉妒的神）存在的思想。

以下是愛因斯坦本人所寫，關於他自己對宗教的看法：

（愛因斯坦給朋友的書信） "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."
（譯文：「當然，你所聽聞的我的所謂『宗教信仰』都是謊言，而這謊言正在被有系統地重複。我不相信人格化的上帝，我從不否認這一點，而且都表示很清楚。如果我有什麼是可以稱之為信仰的話，那就是對科學所揭示的世界的結構的無限欽佩。」）[6]

這說明了愛因斯坦否定他自己相信或仰慕任一宗教。而他所有名言，如「神不擲骰子」（"God does not play dice."）、「沒有宗教的科學是瘸子，沒有科學的宗教是盲目的。」("Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.")中引用的「神」字，似乎只是對大自然規律的借代詞，而用的「宗教」二字也只是他對大自然的敬佩的借代詞。[6]

如果愛因斯坦一直沒有宗教信仰，甚至對它們反感，他又怎可能和教授互駁，辯護上帝呢？

同一種橋段，不同的演譯

故事本身的內容也有可疑之處。有人發現，類似的故事內容在許多其他網上流傳的故事中也有出現。當中包括一位海豹突擊隊員的版本，和另外一位用一支粉筆來證明神不存在的教授的版本。[9] 連同愛因斯坦版本，這三個故事的脈絡都包括(1)教授是無神論者，企圖要改變學生的信仰；(2)有位勇敢的學生走出來反駁教授；(3)教授最後啞口無言。它們和「愛因斯坦的故事」的同出一轍，以及它們當中「使命」、「受逼害」、「對抗權威」的意味，使人不能不懷疑這些故事是演化自同一個版本，以及其內容的真確性。

結語

基於以上三點：故事沒有證明神的存在，愛因斯坦對宗教抱懷疑的態度，以及故事和其他版本的相似性，我們應該不難發現，這個在網絡為人津津樂道，愛因斯坦為神見證的故事，和真實存在很大的矛盾，極可能是虛構出來的。留意雖然本文在於指出故事不可信，但目的不在證明神不存在。

故事本身十分具戲劇性。但整件事更令人反思的是，為何這個虛構的故事可以得到如此多人相信，進而分享，並以病毒繁殖的速度傳播? 作家馬克•吐溫說：「謊言走遍半個世界，真理還在穿鞋子。」製造、散播謊言，十分容易；揭破謊言，則需仔細搜證、思考和推論。很可能「愛因斯坦證明神」的故事會繼續傳下去，然而我們至少可以反思一下：在轉發不同訊息之前，如何避免被謠言和謊言利用作傳播的機器?／／

Skullgirls是一款2D平面格鬥遊戲,故事圍繞在Skull Heart(骷髏之心)這項神奇的物品上,有許願的功能,但只要許願的人心不夠純潔,願望則會扭曲,遊戲中講述各角色自己,以及與Skullgirl所發生的故事

6:11 rears her pretty... heads
這句真的是多重雙關的很讚
Skullgirls這種玩雙關耐人尋味的說話方式真的不少 (而且很多都很讚~)
Rear one's ugly head 這句有口語上的用法
意思是某人某事(通常是不好的事) 即將發生
或者(壞事)"又"將再次發生
這裡用在Filia身上 也可以說是醒悟(採取行動) 的意思
然而, Valentine在這邊說故意說Pretty Head
我想應該只是稍微"故意換掉詞彙"來形容Filia罷了
從對話中看來 她們(Valentine和Double)似乎是知道Filia身分的
Valentine應該是不認識她的, 可是連她失憶這點都很清楚

而且還有一件有趣的事XD
Pretty講完Valentine還頓了一下才講出Head"s" (複數)
因為Filia頭上有Samson XD 嚴格來說是兩個頭沒錯XDD

9:15 The blood I have sworn to spill!
雖然Marie確實說得相當酷
不過這裡轉成中文也是沒辦法太直翻Orz
完整轉達含意 會是"那個血脈 那個我所發誓要使其血灑大地的"
看過其他人劇情(尤其Peacock)會知道, Marie當初許願就是為了向Medici報仇
這裡她雖然見過Filia, 但在看到Filia的當下Marie沒有很憤怒
應該表示她們只有一面之緣, 且Marie應該不是討厭這個人的
可是Marie誓言殺光Medici
Filia就算失憶, 也改變不了她的血脈仍是Medici家族的事實

在老師介紹Painwheel時, 她說Miss...(頓一下) Painwheel?
這邊是因為, 英文我們會先說先生小姐, 然後說名字(與中文相反)
老師在看到她名字時可能有點小訝異
Painwheel作為人的名字一定是超奇怪的啊
(本來的設定裡這只是代號, 她本名是Carol)(就跟Peacock也是代號, 本名Patricia一樣邏輯)
所以下一句老師才說"Hmm, must be foreign"
"嗯...(想了一下) 是外國名字吧?"
老師可能覺得, 外文名字被直翻當成英文名, 才有可能出現這樣的特殊名字XD 這樣
