視訊專訪捷克參議院議長韋德齊。🇨🇿
An exclusive interview with His Excellency, Miloš Vystrčil, President of Senate of the Czech Republic.
之前透過多重管道聯絡捷方，近期突然接到消息說議長忙完選舉後、十月中旬可以專訪，立馬答應。之後花了一段時間、閱讀捷克的新聞、準備題目。
打開視訊，看到的是一個多月前每天追著的議長，雖然全程戴口罩，還是覺得超級親切！
最令人驚喜的還有在一旁跟隨他來到台灣的超強翻譯員。
一個小時的專訪，問了14題：選舉結果、台捷關係、返國後的爭議、政治規劃等等。
以前在新加坡比較常做專訪、這幾年的確比較少，但很慶幸當中的眉眉角角還是沒忘。
至於採訪後記：
其實採訪中韋德齊給的很多回答，真的很玩味。其中莫過於問他「曾經在台灣說過台灣是獨立的國家、怎麼回國卻說沒講過這句話？」
他說：「因為我作為捷克共和國的公民，同時也作為捷克參議院議長，我必須遵守我們捷克共和國，官方或者正式的外交關係的政策。因為現在台灣事實上是獨立的自由的國家，但是法律上不是，所以我希望未來也可以在法律上讓台灣，能成為獨立的國家，但是我認為我們捷克共和國，本身也沒有這麼大的權力，也沒有這麼大的力量，自己可以決定這麼大，這麼複雜的問題。」
這樣的回答算得上是立場改變嗎？算是利用完台灣嗎？
其實我覺得態度上因為被要求符合現實，的確有小轉彎了。但不要忘記，議長在台灣時，雖然的確說台灣是獨立的國家，但他也沒有主張跟對岸斷交。
他在立法院以及外交部的記者會上都說過，是要維持與兩邊的關係。
這目前是全球所有理智的國家會採取的外交路線；當然也可以說是台灣的悲哀。
但外交本來就是一個日積月累的東西。

Truly honoured to conduct an exclusive interview with Miloš Vystrčil, President of Senate of the Czech Republic. We discussed his party’s success in the recent Senate election, backlashes he received from the government upon his return from Taiwan, and a seemingly slight shift in position towards him calling Taiwan an “independent country”.
He gave very honest and frank answers, explaining the difficulties and limitations he faced. However, him, like many Taiwanese, share similar sentiments about a better and more recognised future.
I’ve not done an one-on-one interview for a while now, something which I had been very used to when working in Singapore. However, I’m glad I didn’t forget the basics. Really grateful for this opportunity.
