Pulau Tioman is one of the mukim and island in Rompin District, Pahang. However, it is geographically closer to Mersing, Johor than mainland Pahang itself. Hence, to access Pulau Tioman, tourists have to use ferry service in Mersing.
Mukut is known as a fishing village, located in the southern tip of Tioman. The village is accessible by speedboat provides by the chalet or resort and main activity that can be done here is fishing and campung by the beach.
We, ProjekMakanTravel Squad, decided to stay in one of the budget chalet here. The local were friendly and they treated us like one of the local too. To some, sadly, network and telco coverage is low here. But, to us, it is a rare opportunity to be away from all the havocness in the city.
