， 不 可 作 形 容 詞 ， 對 嗎 ？
Caption 作 名 詞 指 「 標 題 」 或 「 （ 圖 片 等 的 ） 說 明 」 ， 作 動 詞
則 指 「 加 上 標 題 或 說 明 」 ， 例 如 ： (1)The caption of the article
read "Education chief urges teachers to commit suicide" （ 文 章 標 題 是 「
教 育 事 務 主 管 呼 籲 教 師 自 殺 」 ） 。 (2)The editor captioned the

captioned matter 是 以 caption 的 過 去 分 詞 （ past participle ， 即 動 詞
的 完 成 式 ） 作 形 容 詞 ， 意 思 是 「 文 件 標 題 所 述 事 情 」 ， 是 絕
對 正 確 也 很 常 見 的 用 法 。
