美國《時代雜誌》（TIME）早前首度公布全球百大最具影響力企業（TIME 100 Most Influential Companies）名單，有台灣「護國神山」之稱的台積電也榜上有名。時代雜誌全球百大最具影響力其中在巨擘企業方面，台積電與阿里巴巴，Facebook，Disney，三星（Samsung），微軟（Microsoft）及聯邦快遞公司（FedEx）等全球大企業一同上榜。時代雜誌指出，台積電是全球客製化晶片主要供應商，為蘋果公司（Apple），華為及索尼集團公司（Sony Group Corp.）等企業製造的筆電，智慧型手機及無數其他裝置供應晶片。原因是特朗譜政府限制美國企業出售科技給中國最大晶片製造商，無意間造成對於台積電的需求增加，今年台積電的服務變得比以往更不可或缺。台積電財報顯示，2020年最後一季淨收入達50.1億美元（約新台幣1400億元），比前一年同期成長23％。
