Menerusi laporan baru-baru ini, terdapat lebih 500 orang Yang kini hidup gelandangan di Johor Bahru. Saya menitahkan agar pembinaan Pusat Transit Gelandangan di Johor Bahru dipercepatkan supaya mereka yang hidup gelandangan ini dapat tempat tinggal yang lebih selesa dan bantuan dari segi makanan dan kesihatan dapat disampaikan kepada mereka.
Dalam keadaan pandemik Covid-19 ini, mereka yang hidup gelandangan ini adalah antara golongan yang paling terdedah kepada jangkitan virus Covid-19 kerana mereka terpaksa tinggal di tepi-tepi jalan atau di tempat awam.
Saya juga menitahkan agar rumah gelandangan sementara diwujudkan dengan segera. Dengan adanya rumah gelandangan sementara, maka risiko jangkitan akan menurun dan mereka juga dapat divaksinasi sambil diberi sokongan yang sepenuhnya untuk kembali kepada kehidupan normal.
Mereka juga manusia dan berhak untuk menjalani hidup yang bermaruah. Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

According to a recent report, there are more than 500 homeless people living in Johor Bahru. I have decreed for the construction of the homeless transit centre in Johor Bahru to be expedited so that the homeless can have a more comfortable place to live and assistance in terms of food and health can be provided to them.
During this Covid-19 pandemic, homeless people are among the most vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus infection because they are forced to live by the roadside or in public areas.
I have also decreed for a temporary shelter to be established immediately. With this temporary shelter, the risk of infection will decrease and they can be vaccinated and also given full support to return to a normal life.
