鎖在家裏第一天，聽說公婆在門前買了小溫室，宅配送到的貨都在溫室裏放 24 小時才進屋，現階段我都在門口把包裝全拆了丟掉、商品用 Dettol 噴過並靜置一小時以上才使用，我們正討論要把一樓的客用小廁所拿來當包裹「檢疫」場所，總之要小心再小心。

Come down toは、「〜にかかっている」を意味するフレーズです。問題や物事の最終的な決め手となることを伝える際に使われ、「カギとなるのは〜だ」のように訳すこともできます。
　
＜例文＞
　
In the end, it comes down to how bad you want it.
（最終的はあなたの熱意次第だ。）
　
I’m excited about the job offer but it comes down to the pay.
（その仕事のオファーはうれしいんだけど、結局のところ報酬次第なんだよね。）

仕事や勉強において目標を達成するために努力をしたり時間を費やしたりすることをput in ____と表現します。put in work（注力する）やput in hours（時間を費やす）の形でよく使われます。

If you want to be successful, you have to put in the work.
（成功したければ努力をしなければいけません。）
　
She’s been putting in a lot of work to improve her English.
（彼女は英語を上達させるために、一生懸命頑張っています。）

3) Prodigy（天才児）

秀でた才能を持つ子供をprodigyと言います。スポーツ、音楽、芸術、将棋など、あらゆる分野で使うことができ、ポイントは、幼い頃から才能を発揮していることです。
　
✔Child prodigyとも言いますが、childがなくても意味は同じです。

Come fromは「〜から来る」ですが、come from ~ backgroundと言うと、「〜の環境で育つ」という意味になります。芸術家の両親の元で育ったり、裕福な家庭や不遇な家庭環境で生まれ育った、という状況で使われる表現です。
　
＜例文＞
　
My dad's a pianist and my mom’s an artist. I come from an artistic background.
（私の父はピアニストで、母は芸術家です。私は芸術的な環境で育ちました。）
　
You have to be patient with that kid. He comes from a troubled family background.
（あの子には辛抱強く接してあげて。問題のある家で育ったんだ。）

5) Blood, sweat and tears（最大限の努力）
=================================
　
Blood, sweat and tearsは直訳すると「血と汗と涙」。まさに、「血と汗と涙の結晶」に相当する表現です。今日の会話では、クレイトンがbloodを抜いてsweat and tearsと言いましたが、一般的にはblood, sweat and tearsと言います。
　
＜例文＞
　
I put my blood, sweat and tears into starting this company.
（この会社を立ち上げるのに大変な苦労をしました。）
　
I poured my blood, sweat and tears into that company but they laid me off.
（あの会社に全てを捧げたのに解雇された。）

Hey! Thanks so much for checking out my live radio performance of my original song "Monogatari" which means story or legend in Japanese. This is the song I wrote music with Japanese lyrics and performed on Terrace House Aloha State. It's also on my Japan debut album "Music for You".

About EDEN KAI:
With millions of fans around the world, Eden Kai has earned his reputation as being a ukulele and guitar virtuoso, a Pop/R&B vocalist, and an accomplished actor. The series also featured Eden’s instrumental compositions of “Touch the Sky” and “Feel the Earth.” “Monogatari” was his debut pop vocal single, which he wrote and performed on the show. In addition to working on his own music, Eden has collaborated with some of the world’s top artists and producers, including EXILE and Dream. One of his compositions was used to create “Anuenue,” a hit J-Pop single recorded and released by Dance Earth Party, which landed at #11 on the Oricon Music Charts in Japan.

Eden also recognizes the importance of using his music to help others. He has hosted several ukulele workshops in Honolulu and Japan, been the featured performer at the Waikiki Spam Jam, benefiting the largest non-profit in Hawaii that feeds the needy, and the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival from which proceeds helped local children in the community.
