We’re saying farewell to a Hong Kong institution and a long standing tourist spot until further notice 😔

It was easy to spot the Chinese White dolphins in Hong Kong water. Dolphin watching is a popular tourist activity in Tai O fishing village.
With one construction project following after the other in the nearby water, including the construction of Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge #港珠澳大橋 , the Airport third runway #機場三跑 and the upcoming Lantau Tomorrow Vision reclamation Plan #明日大嶼 , the number of Chinese White dolphins has been on a sharp decline going from 188 dolphins in 2003 to only 32 in 2018. The number is expected to drop even further.
Again the question is - development and conservation, which one is more important?
@HKDCS organizes regular dolphin research trips. I have joined their research trips earlier this year and it is highly recommended 👍🏻 Did I see any dolphins? Yes! A few! And the trip was very informative and these are what I have learnt 👇🏻😏
𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫:
1. Grey! Chinese white dolphin is grey and spotty when it is young. Its spots fade and body colour changes to pink when it grows older.
2. Adult chinese White dolphins have white skin. They look pink as there is an increased blood flow to the skin when they swim.
3. Fishermen in Hong Kong call them Sea Pig 海豬！The reason is simple - it is a pink mammal living in the sea.

In this video we are showing you how to get to Lok Wah South Car Park from Kowloon Bay MTR, we will walk up as honestly as waiting for the bus you would already arrived at the location. On top of the Lok Wah South Car Park we can find two special build art pieces which a lot of visitors and tourist go to just to take a picture of themselves at. However do note, that in the weekends it be even more busy than weekdays. So to get a chance to take a perfect picture without someone else getting in the shot, you need to be quite quick and aggressive to take up the turn as there no cue to wait up on.
Mostly the most important shot is to take the images with the circles and also when the sun is at the right spot you get some great diagonal lines added to the image. But if you want someone to pose in the circles there are a few things you need to remember. First is you don't want the person to block the circles so you don't want them to stand in the middle in the first circle as he or she would block the circles behind them, what you want to do is to offset them to one side, either sit on the bottom edge or lean on the side. If the person want to be in the middle its better to position them further down a few circles to get your shot.
Honestly the location is nice, but a bit warn down due to so many people taking pictures there, but due to so many people visiting this location, you need quite a lot of patience to get your turn and honestly not that many things to photography than just those circles.

In this video I am scouting a new location that I have not been to yet, which is the Garden Hill 嘉頓山 at Sham Shui Po 深水埗, I've been advised to check it out and scout the location for references, for when I am going to make timelapses in Hong Kong 香港 and capture B-Rolls of Hong Kong. Sham Shui Po self is quite well known and covered by many as a great location to shop for cheap electronics and camera accessories, but unkown for many its also a great place to capture the city scape of Hong Kong.
Garden Hill is a great location as its quiet and there are no tourist around who are in the way while you are filming or taking pictures. Also it is a great spot to launch your drone from and enable to get a nice city scape of Hong Kong. The only downside is the hike up with the stairs which I do advice to walk it up slowly as its quite the hike up, but also bring enough drinks as once you are up there, there are no shops or vending machines to buy drinks.
